Job Description 

Shift and Schedule

Critical Care Unit: PRN 6:00A-6:00P

Position Summary  

  • Deliver care to patients as delegated by a licensed nurse and within the scope of practice.
  • Take vital signs and observe the patient's physical and mental condition and report changes in patient immediately to the nurse.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment while assisting patients with walking, getting out of bed, changing clothing, eating and changing bed linens.
  • Help patients with grooming, bathing, hair washing and brushing and toileting.
  • Exhibit positive communication and work in partnership with other healthcare team members, patients, visitors, families and physicians.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current BLS required (Issued by American Heart Association)
  • Six months of experience in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
  • Current State of Texas Certification as a Certified Nurse Aide is strongly preferred.
