Our Team

All of our nutrition consultants are Registered Dietitians (RD) authorized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and licensed to practice in Texas by Department of State Health Services. They have met strict, specific educational and professional prerequisites and pass national registration examinations before they can use legally protected term "dietitian."

All of our Registered Dietitians are specifically trained in Lifestyle Medicine and the Whole Food Plant Based approach.
When you schedule your appointment, you will be matched with a nutrition consultant who meets your individual needs and will provide you with the most current nutrition information and interventions.

Rachel Murphy MS, RD, LD
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2013 and Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences in 2015, from Texas Tech University. She has been employed with MMH since December 2015 where she developed her dietitian skills for a year and a half before transitioning over to outpatient care. Rachel has been at the Lifestyle Medicine Center since it began in 2017. Her passion is focused on diabetes care and management, as well as nutrition for during or before pregnancy, general healthy eating, and mindful eating. Rachel sees clients for a variety of nutrition related interventions including heart healthy nutrition, plant-based nutrition, weight management, and pediatric patients >4 years of age. She also has skills in cooking demonstrations and serves as one of the dietitians for the various health programs offered at the center. She loves food, and in her free time enjoys cooking, creating new recipes, and traveling.

Hannah Heflin MS, RD, LD
Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2019, Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences in 2020, and completed a dietetic internship all from Texas Tech University! She started her career as a dietitian at Medical Center Hospital where she provided Medical Nutrition Therapy for the Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Neurology floor, and more. She now has a passion for outpatient centered care at the Lifestyle Medicine Center. She enjoys helping people one on one with a variety of nutrition related topics including diabetes, heart health, preventative nutrition, and nutrition during pregnancy/family planning. She has a drive for delivering evidence-based nutrition information and helping people improve their relationship with food. Hannah is also involved with the group health education programs offered at LMC which include the Whole Person Health Program and Intensive Cardiac Rehab. Outside of work you can find her spending time with her two dogs and husband. She also enjoys caring for her plants and traveling.

Hilary Crosby MS, RD, LD
Hilary Cosby completed her Coordinated Program and Master's degree in Nutrition (Eastern Michigan University, distance program) in 2022. Hilary's initial degrees were in Marine Biology (Texas A&M) and Wildlife Management (Humboldt State) years ago. She decided to change career paths when she became interested in nutrition around 2016, largely due to the influence of the local non-profit Healthy City. Since that time, she became a volunteer and Board Member of Healthy City, started working at MMH as a CHIP Facilitator, became certified in Plant-Based Nutrition (eCornell), certified in Plant-Based Cooking (Rouxbe culinary program), worked part-time as a gym fitness instructor, and operated her own meal-prep business for 3 years, all while going back to school for nutrition and starting a family. In her free time, Hilary enjoys cooking new foods, reading, traveling, and spending time and taking walks with her husband, daughter, three dogs, and one cat.
