2019

2018

  • Designated as a Level II (Special Care Nursery) NICU by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
  • Outpatient Cardiac Rehab received it's program certification designation from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary RehabilItation. 
  • Three-time designated Pathway to Excellence hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Nurse Residency Program is an Accredited Practice Transition Program with Distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • 11 Environmental Services employees became Certified Surgical Cleaning Technicians (CSCT). Our 11 employees are among only 25 people nationally that have completed the course and passed the certification exam, according to the American Hospital Association.
  • Awarded the Immunization Action Coalition Birth Dose Honor Roll by the Texas Department of Health Services (DSHS) Perinatal Prevention Program.
  • Only facility in Texas to offer the Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease, a noninvasive and scientifically-proven program to reverse heart disease through diet and lifestyle.
  • Mission LifeLine STEMI Silver Award from the American Heart Association for meeting heart attack systems of care standards.
  • Total Joint Center renewed its DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Certification and was redesignated as a Blue Distinction Center+ from BlueCross BlueShield.

2017

  • The Breast Center is the only center in Texas to hold all three of these honors: recognized by the American College of Radiology for being a Breast Center of Excellence, a Certified Quality Breast Center as recognized by the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers Program (NQMBC) and fully accredited through the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
  • Critical Care Unit received the Silver Beacon Award of Excellence by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
  • Mission LifeLine Non-STEMI Bronze Award from the American Heart Association for meeting heart attack systems of care standards.

2016

  • Full Heart Failure Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.
  • Designated as a Mother Friendly Worksite by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
  • Distinguished Facility for Newborn Hearing Screenings by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
  • First recipient of the Inspired Award for Values and Cultural Excellence, presented by Joe Tye.
  • Pathway to Excellence designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Total Joint Center was recognized for the DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Certification, becoming fourth in the nation to receive this distinguished honor. This recognition came just four months after the Total Joint Center received designation from BlueCross BlueShield as being a Blue Distinction Center+ for their expertise and cost-efficiency in delivering hip and knee replacements.
  • Wound Management Center is a five-time recipient of the Healogics Center of Distinction Award and was named a Healogics Robert A Warriner, III Center of Excellence.

2015

  • NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for HealthSystem Elders) Senior Friendly designated hospital for our commitment to elderly care excellence.
  • Safety-Net Hospital Quality Award presented by The Texas Health and Human Services Commission for outstanding performance during state fiscal year 2014 for Potentially Preventable Events and Potentially Preventable Readmissions.
