Where is Midland Memorial Hospital located? What is the main phone number?

The main Green Entrance is located on the North side of the building. The Red Emergency Entrance is also located on the north side of the building, just west of the main entrance. The main customer service phone number is (432) 221-1111.

When is the hospital open?

The hospital is open for visitation from 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. through the Green Entrance near the Scharbauer Tower. The emergency department is open 24 hours a day through the Red Emergency Entrance. All visitors after 10 p.m. must enter through the Red Emergency Entrance on the North side of the hospital.

What floor am I looking for in the Scharbauer Patient Tower?

There are nine floors in the Scharbauer Patient Tower. The second floor in the tower is to facilitate connection with the main building and allow for high ceilings in the lobby. The ninth floor will be for future use.

I am a visitor. What rules should I be aware of?

Children under 12 must be with an adult at all times. Only two visitors at a time are allowed in the patient’s room at one time. In any waiting room, please limit four people for every patient. Please wash your hands as you enter and before leaving patient’s room. Due to fire and safety codes, please avoid standing and visiting in the hallways. Latex balloons are not allowed in the hospital. Please respect all requests made by physicians and hospital staff.

Where is the Testing Center? What does the Testing Center offer?

As soon as a patient enters the facility through the main entrance, the Testing Center will be easily accessed directly to their left. This center is a single location for patients to receive a variety of outpatient exams including an EKG, Echovascular exam, blood drawing, EEG, PFT, stress tests and sleep studies. This center will also allow Direct Access testing to be completed here.

Where is the security window?

Security staff is located just inside the Red Emergency Entrance to the tower, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When the public enters the building between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., they will have to stop here to register their visit.

Where is the Craddick Medical Office Building located? What does it offer?

The Craddick Medical Office Building is located just inside the main Green Entrance to the tower. It can also be accessed using the Blue Cloud or Purple Lotus Entrances. The building allows access to DIA, Permian Cardiology, Allison Cancer Center and other physician offices.

Where are the visitor and family waiting areas?

Waiting areas are located next to the public elevators on floors three through eight. Each area offers refreshments.

Where are the stairwells located?

There are three stairwells located in the Scharbauer Patient Tower. Two are at each end of the tower and one is located in the north wing. All of these are emergency exits with no reentry by the public.

What is 68-NURSE?

68-NURSE (855-686-8773) is a free telephone service allowing local residents to speak with health care professionals about medical concerns. IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, ALWAYS DIAL 911.

What is hospital registration?

Meeting with hospital registration staff prior to your appointment ensures that all of your personal and insurance information is complete and accurate. We will ask you to verify your information, sign authorization forms, and pay any co-payments or deductibles at this time. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time so that there is plenty of time to complete this important verification process.

The Financial Eligibility Office at Midland Memorial provides eligibility screening services to patients in need of financial assistance. How can I apply for employment?

Who do I report changes in my insurance to?

Please report any changes or corrections to your insurance information as soon as possible. You will receive a statement a few days after going home from the hospital from your inpatient or outpatient visit. The statement will reflect the insurance carriers we have on file for you along with a partial or full policy number. Please verify the information is correct and report any changes as soon as possible through our Customer Service Center. Delays in providing changes in insurance information may cause us to miss your insurance company's filing deadline so it is important that you provide the information as soon as possible.

How will my payment be applied?

To ensure accurate and timely payment posting, please include your remittance coupon, which is attached to your statement. Any payments received that do not identify where a payment should be posted may be posted to any patient account with the payee's name.

How do I obtain a price quote for a service I want to receive at Midland Memorial Hospital?

By calling our Patient Access department, we will be able to provide an estimate for future services to you. All quotes are estimates only based on historical information. Actual patient balances will differ due to medical history, lab work needed, pharmacy dosage amounts, etc. Any differences between estimates given and actual balance are the patient's responsibility. I received a letter from my insurance company or Midland Memorial Hospital indicating other insurance information is needed or accident information is needed. What should I do?

You need to contact your insurance company to provide them with the requested information. Many insurance companies require a written response and will not take information verbally. It is your responsibility to follow-up with your insurance company as Midland Memorial Hospital cannot act on your behalf in these cases to obtain payment.

Why am I receiving multiple bills for my hospital visit?
