Midland Memorial Foundation Receives Alsup Family Endowment Fund

Jim and Sandy Alsup made their home in Midland, TX, more than 50 years ago, where he practiced law, first with the city of Midland and then from 1967 forward with the law firm that bears his name, Lynch, Chappell & Alsup. Jim has been a leader of the firm serving as its managing partner and president for decades.

The Alsup Family Endowment Fund was created by a generous donation in the amount of $100,000 by Lynch, Chappell & Alsup fund, established by its shareholders, at Permian Basin Area Foundation. The gift was made in honor of the retirement of attorney James M. Alsup on June 30, 2016. Mr. Alsup was selected to serve on the Midland Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees in 1987, and was elected to serve as the chairman of the committee in 1990. In 2010, Mr. Alsup accepted the appointment to the Midland Memorial Foundation Board of Governors. He currently serves as the chairman of the Board of Governors' Nominating Committee, and also serves on the Board of Governors' Bylaws Committee.
