Jason is an CIO and Healthcare Advisor for DewingIT LLC.  A national healthcare IT Digital Leader, in recent years has served as Interim Executive CIO for United Health Services in New York and Cottage Health in California. He has performed several extensive IT Assessments for large multi-state health systems, Ardent Health and Surgery Partners. He has taken on innovative health IT work for NASA, along with virtual CIO work for Critical Access Hospitals.

Jason has over 25 years experience in healthcare information technology where he served as the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Strategy leading a division of operational departments for Saint Francis Healthcare System. He developed the 3 year strategic plan, put in place an Enterprise Project Management Office, Cyber Security Program, and optimized a failing EHR implementation. He was responsible for transforming Supply Chain to automate procure-to-pay processes.

He served as the VP and Regional Chief Information Officer for Catholic Health Initiatives Western Region. He served on the Group Executive Officers Leadership team for 17 hospitals and 2 Centralized Business Offices, where he was accountable for all technology, and co-led national Joint-Ventures for outpatient labs in 5 communities. He led the centralization of IT services and cost reduction efforts.

As the IT Systems Director for St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho, he was a key leader in transformation to an Integrated Delivery Network overseeing 7 hospitals and associated clinics for IT. Led efforts for single EHR implementation, HIPAA 5010 compliance, and IT consolidation. Led the 60M OpEx and 30M CapEx budget for IT, stood up the Cybersecurity, PMO, IT Service Management, Office of the CIO, and Enterprise Architecture programs.

Jason has served on the Leading Age Missouri panel with IBM Watson, and the advisory board to bring industry topics to CxO’s throughout the region. He has also served on several state health exchanges for Idaho and Missouri He is a national and international speaker on Data, Next-Generation Operating Models, and Cybersecurity.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix and is a candidate for a Master in IT Management at Western Governors University.
