Governed by a volunteer board, the foundation was established in 1945 for the purpose of raising funds for Midland’s first community hospital. For 75 years, the foundation has been instrumental in securing gifts for the expansion of physical plants, the purchase of new medical equipment, and support for valuable programs and services. Since Midland Memorial Hospital first opened its doors in 1950, the pursuit to offer quality healthcare to Midland and the surrounding communities has remained at the forefront for the Board of Governors and Midland Health leadership team.
