After several months of construction, Midland Memorial Hospital announces the opening of its new southern parking area on Illinois Avenue, just south of the previous main entrance. Before now, the area was a circle drive and did not contain any parking. On March 28, Midland Health in collaboration with Championship Hearts Foundation, will be providing free heart screenings to students between the ages of 14 and 18. On July 1, the Midland County Hospital District Police Department (MCHD PD) will unveil their new teddy program. The program was created by Chief Kenny Taylor and Officer Johnny Valderaz when they saw a need for children who visit Midland Memorial Hospital as a patient or as a child who has witnessed a traumatic event.
