  • Infant/Child Safety (4-6pm)

    This 2 hour class provides information on child safety and prevention. The class includes care seat safety, home safety, poisons and emergency preparedness.     In person tours have now resumed at Midland Memorial Hospital. Come and take a tour of our labor and delivery unit and postpartum unit. Registration is required for this tour. No more than 10 people will be able to attend the tour. Please meet in the lobby at the main entrance of the hospital. Inform the front desk staff that you are here for the L&D tour.   • On-Site Basic Childbirth Class- Understanding Birth Part 1- Pregnancy and Labor (4-6pm)

    This class is part 1 of the on-site childbirth class and offers information on pregnancy & labor. It is recommended that you attend all classes in the series. Please register for them separately.     This 2 hour class is designed to help new moms get started with breastfeeding. The class is taught by certified lactation nurses and covers the basics of breastfeeding. It will include getting started breastfeeding in the hospital, pumping and storage of breast milk.   • Championship Hearts: Free Teen Heart Screening

    Saturday, August 3, 2024 - 8:00 AM
    Join us for Championship Hearts on August 3, 2024 at 9am-1pm at Midland Memorial Hospital! Championship Hearts screens students, ages 14-18, for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Generally, one screening after age 15 is sufficient, unless cardiac symptoms are present. The screenings are non-invasive and painless. There is limited availability; please register by August 2, 2024.
