After many years of serving the Midland community as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I am writing to share that I will be retiring from clinical practice effective April 10, 2026. This decision comes with deep reflection and gratitude for the trust you have placed in me throughout our time together.

 

Caring for you and your family has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. I have cherished the relationships built over the years and remain profoundly grateful for the opportunity to support your health and well-being.

Your continuity of care remains a top priority. North Caldera Family Care will continue to provide high-quality, compassionate services, and you may schedule appointments with any of our available providers. If you need assistance selecting a new primary care clinician, our front office team will be happy to guide you.

 

Your medical records will remain securely housed within Midland Health’s system. Should you choose to transfer your care outside the clinic, we will assist you with the appropriate release-of-information process.

Cheryl Vallie, a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), has been providing care in Midland for over 20 years. Cheryl started her career at Midland Memorial Hospital in the ICU, CCU and PCCU, eventually working in administration as the Director of Quality and Risk Management. After realizing her true calling was in direct patient care, Cheryl earned her FNP degree in 1994.

Cheryl’s primary responsibilities include assessment and identification of health-related problems from an integrated approach, such as physical, psychological, sociological factors that impact the health and wellbeing of her patients. Cheryl treats adults, children 12 and older, and adolescent medicine and sports physicals. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys scuba diving and spending time with her family.
