MIDLAND MEMORIAL LAUNCHES NEW EARLY MOBILITY PROGRAM
Mobility is profoundly beneficial to hospital patients

Several Midland Memorial Hospital patients have been part of the new Critical Care Unit’s Early Mobility Program. Through the incorporation of evidence-based practice, intubated patients are able to walk with the assistance of hospital clinicians and cutting-edge technology.  

The Early Mobility Program at Midland Memorial Hospital provides an exceptionally progressive approach to healing for patients recovering from a critical illness. This exciting program requires professional collaboration including physicians, registered nurses, physical therapists and respiratory therapists. Encouraging patients to move during recovery speeds healing by increasing oxygen circulation. Gradually increasing active times throughout recovery smoothes transition back to total wellness.  

The patient of this video is on Level II of thee levels during the Early Mobility Program.
