Bob Dent Accepts Position in Georgia, Brandon "Kit" Bredimus is Named Vice President of Nursing

Dr. Bob Dent, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating/Chief Nursing Officer, has announced that he has accepted a position with Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia, and will serve as Chief Nursing Officer for three hospitals.

"Midland Memorial Hospital's Integrated clinical operations have made great strides under Dr. Dent's transformative leadership," said Russell Meyers, President and Chief Executive Officer. "He will be terribly missed, but the high-quality leadership team and shared governance structure he has put into place will continue to serve our organization and community well into the future."

Through this transition, Midland Memorial Hospital has named Brandon "Kit" Bredimus, DNP, RN, CEN, CPEN, CNML, NE-BC, QMHP-CS as Vice President of Nursing.

Dr. Bredimus' current role is the Director of Emergency Services. He joined the Midland Memorial team in 2008 as a staff nurse in the ED and is proud to be a Midland native. Dr. Bredimus holds national board certifications as a Nurse Executive along with certifications in Nursing Leadership and Management, Emergency, and Pediatric Emergency Nursing. Dr. Bredimus was named as a 2017 Modern Healthcare’s Rising Star in Nursing Award winner and the 2018 AONL Early Careerist Award winner.

"I look forward to carrying on some of the tremendous work Dr. Dent has been able to achieve in his tenure while seeking new opportunities to develop and elevate our organization."

Dr. Bredimus will be charged with overseeing the practice of nursing and ensuring services are designed and implemented to meet the needs of patients, medical providers, our community and employees.
