Critical Care

Midland Memorial Hospital Critical CareThe Critical Care Unit (CCU) is a specialized area designed to help treat patients requiring intensive care services and those with life threatening illnesses. These services include coronary artery bypass and graft procedures, ventilator care, neurology, sepsis, hypothermia and other complex surgeries.

The unit has 24 Critical Care beds and 24 Progressive Care beds capable of intensive monitoring. Each room contains medical booms with patient lifts in each boom, allowing for variable room set up and ease of moving patients.

Visiting hours are restricted during SHHH (Silent Hospital Help Healing) time from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. During flu season, children under the age of 14 may be restricted from the CCU or the CCU waiting room for their own protection.
