  • Breastfeeding Support Group

    Midland Memorial Hospital now offers a breastfeeding support group on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, excluding major holidays. This support group is to help promote breastfeeding success and provide encouragement for moms in our community. Please join us to visit with other breastfeeding moms, ask questions and be encouraged.

    Tours of the L&D are conducted on a monthly basis at 5:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m. in the lobby of Midland Memorial Hospital’s Scharbauer Tower. Come visit with us to see what we have to offer expectant families.  Pre-registration is required         Limit 8 families per tour Recommended to be at least 28 weeks

    Basic Childbirth Class- This series of three consecutive weeknight classes is recommended for all expectant parents and covers labor, delivery, and recovery. The class is designed to help parents feel more knowledgeable and confident about the pregnancy and birth process. It will focus on all the stages of labor- including positioning, breathing, and relaxation for each stage. Cost- $40.00/couple. THIS CLASS MEETS ON Feburary 6th, 13th, and 20th from 6-8:30pm.

    Accidents are the leading cause of death in infants and children. This two hour class provides information appropriate for parents, grandparents, and other prospective caregivers including car seat safety, safe baby care,  home safety, safe products, poisons and emergency preparedness.
