About Dr. Dickens
Dr. Jessie Dickens is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine fellowship-trained specialist practicing in Midland, TX, serving the entire West Texas region. He treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including joint replacement, minimally invasive shoulder and knee procedures, and general orthopedics.

He completed sub-specialty training in Sports Medicine surgery through the prestigious Lake Tahoe Orthopedics Sports Fellowship. This advanced training enables him to address all aspects of knee, hip, and shoulder issues in athletes and non-athletes of all ages.

During his training, Dr. Dickens worked with elite athletes, including the Texas Tech University Football Team, and the USA Ski Team. He currently serves as Team Doctor for the Midland Lee Rebels.

Dr. Dickens holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern. His engineering background, combined with training at one of the nation's premier sports medicine fellowships, uniquely qualifies him to manage a broad spectrum of orthopedic conditions.

He practices at West Texas Orthopedics.

Q: What is your specialty?
A: Sports injuries, arthroscopic shoulder, hip, and knee surgery, trauma, general orthopedics, and joint replacement.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I have been blessed with two children, Ashley and Landen. I enjoy spending time with my family, being involved in the community, traveling, vand outdoor pursuits such as golfing, wakeboarding, snow skiing, hiking, and fishing. 

Q: What brought you to Midland?
A: After growing up in Texas, I knew I wanted to stay in the state. With many friends and family in the area, the strong sense of community and special people unique to West Texas would make Midland the perfect place. After almost 10 years now it has become home.
