Community Garden Grand Opening

Join us on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening of the Midland Health Community Garden. The garden is located at 4214 Andrews Hwy. on the Northeast corner of the Midland Memorial West Campus.

Take a tour of the garden plots, purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers and learn how to start a garden at home with tips from the Permian Basin Master Gardeners. At 1:45 p.m. there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Midland Chamber of Commerce. This free event is open to the public and will take place rain/shine.

The Midland Health Community Garden provides community members with an accessible and affordable way to practice a healthier lifestyle by growing their own fresh produce. The garden features 32 raised beds, 2 keyhole gardens and 3 wheelchair-accessible raised beds.
