Below is a list of upcoming cross-community health and wellness events. In September 2015, the Wellness Tour was the beginning of a long-lasting relationship between Midland Health, the city of Midland, Midland College and Midland ISD. Together, we can achieve the goal of making Midland the healthiest community in Texas.

September 7 | NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Competition
All boys and girls ages 6-15 will have the opportunity to exhibit their football skills at C.J. Kelly Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Top finishers from each age group will advance to a sectional competition in Lubbock. For more information, call 432.685.7355.

September 9| Last Day to Register for USA Fit Midland
USA Fit Midland is a group of training partners and friends preparing together for the Dallas Half Marathon on December 11th. This 15-week train-ing program will help you get to your personal best before the race! For more information, call 432.685.7379 or visit www.usafitmidland.com.

September 10 | Bubble Soccer, Yoga and Movie in the Park
Join us at Windlands Park for bubble soccer and yoga in the park from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., followed by movie in the park (McFarland, USA) at dusk. Healthy food vendors, jumpers, obstacle courses and fitness tests will also be available. This event is a make-up for the rained out event that occurred during the 2016 Wellness Tour. October 7 | First Friday Lecture Series Presents “HIV In West Texas”
Join us from 12-1PM for a presentation by Midland/Odessa Area AIDS Support. This free presentation will take place in the Scharbauer Student Center—Carrasco Room. To learn more, call 432.685.4556 or email rbell@midland.edu.

October 26 | Last Day to Register for Pee Wee Basketball
Today is the last day to register for pee wee basketball, for children ages 4-6. The league is limited to 60 participants and games will begin in November. Registration is $25 per child and can be done at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. For more information, call 432.685.7355.

October 26 | Halloween Blood Drive
Get ready to have your blood taken by vampires! Midland College will be hosting a Halloween Blood drive from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Room 161 of the Midland College Advanced Technology Center. For more information, call 432.681.6354 or email slinstedt@midland.edu.

October 27 | Halloweenfest
Join us for the 4th annual Halloweenfest at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This free event includes face painting, movies, jumpers, music, costume Zumba and more! For more information, call 432.685.7355.

October 29 | Runnin’ Fur Rescues Spooky Fun Run/Walk 5K

Join us for a spooky 5K run and walk benefiting the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals and the Midland College Alumni Association. There will also be $15 microchipping, $5 K9 pedicures and Halloween pet pictures. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the run starts at 9:30 a.m. Dog costumes are optional, but encouraged! December 1 | Holiday Evening with Midland College
Join Midland College for a free community celebration in partnership with the Midland Chamber of Commerce. The celebration will begin at 5:45PM in the Allison Fine Arts Building. To learn more, call 432.685.4556 or email rbell@midland.edu.

Early December—Date TBA | Lighted Christmas Parade and Community Tree Lighting
Enjoy the annual tree lighting ceremony and parade hosted by the City of Midland Parks and Recreation. More information coming soon.
