MMH Welcomes Two New Patrol Vehicles for Patient Safety

Midland Memorial Hospital is proud to welcome two new patrol vehicles for the safety of hospital patients, guests and employees.

"We will enforce all federal, state and local laws, as well as provide security to the hospital and its own properties," Kenny D. Taylor, Director of Safety and Security/Chief of Police, Midland County Hospital Distrct Police Department, said. Officers will also work traffic areas and issue tickets around the hospital, including stop signs, seat belts and near-by traffic lights.

The hospital's police department consists of one police chief, eight police officers and 12 security officers. They are currently in the hiring process. Officers must have a minimum of five years of experience. Currently, the staff has over 80 years of combined police experience.

A swearing-in ceremony will be held at the public Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at Midland Memorial Hospital.
