Midland County Hospital District Police Chief Recognized for Contribution to Law Enforcement Training
OSS Academy honors Chief Steven McNeill for helping develop a new course on proactive safety and security in high-risk environments.

The Midland County Hospital District Police Department and Chief Steven McNeill have been recognized by OSS Academy for their contribution to the development of a new law enforcement training course designed to help officers safely and effectively carry out their duties.
McNeill was recognized for his efforts in the development of the course, Proactive Safety and Security Watch in High-Risk Environments, and for providing input that helped bring this advanced training opportunity to law enforcement officers. According to OSS Academy, his contributions will help benefit hundreds of officers through enhanced professional training.

The Midland County Hospital District Police Department was established in 2015 and provides 24/7 coverage for patients, visitors and staff at Midland Memorial Hospital, as well as associated medical office buildings, clinics and the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center.
The department includes police officers, security personnel and telecommunicators who regularly complete training to strengthen their skills and enhance their roles as public servants.
McNeill's recognition highlights the department's ongoing commitment to professional development and collaboration with organizations that support effective law enforcement training.
