Midland Memorial Hospital Updates 6/12

At approximately 8:20am, Midland Memorial Hospital went on lockdown due to an active shooter event in Midland.
As of 10:10am, Midland Memorial Hospital has lifted the lockdown for the main campus, however the Emergency Department will remain locked down until further notice.
MMH has established a family reunification for victims’ families at the main campus of Midland Memorial Hospital.
Family members may enter through the main entrance doors and gather in hospital cafeteria.
Please avoid the hospital if you are not in need of emergency medical attention. This is an active situation.
We will provide more updates as they become available.

Update 11:14 AM: Midland Memorial Hospital has received nine victims from the active shooter incident. Four are in the operating room and five are stable.

Update 12:11 PM:
Update on the victims at MMH:
3 have been discharged
4 went to the OR: 1 of those is in recovery, the other 3 are still in surgery
2 are in stable and remain in the emergency department

Update:
As of 12:55pm, the disaster operation response has been cleared at Midland Memorial Hospital. The nine victims received at MMH updates are below:
- 5 discharged
- 4 went to the operating room: 3 are out of the OR and 1 remains in the OR
We appreciate the collaboration across our community throughout this incident and are grateful for the dedication of our medical staff and employees during this time of tragedy.
A blood drive has been set up in the MMH main entrance on Saturday, June 13th from 9am to 2:30pm in an effort to replenish the supply available.
The situation will continue to be monitored, and updates will be provided if necessary.
