From April through October, be sure to also visit the Midland Downtown Farmers Market and Parks Legado Farmer's Market in Odessa for fresh produce, baked goods, jams and much more. 


Want to watch a show? Midland Community Theatre hosts many shows, including Summer Mummers where you are encouraged to throw popcorn at the performers! Midland also has two movie theaters as well as Big Sky Drive-In which plays a double feature on Wednesday-Sunday nights. Watch a live concert or show at Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center where artists of every genre perform throughout the year.

If you love history, be sure to visit the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, Commemorative Air Force Airpower Museum, Museum of the Southwest, Fredda Turner Durham Children’s Museum, Blake More Planetarium and The George W. Bush Childhood Home. Other popular areas include I-20 Wildlife Preserve & Jenna Welch NatureStudy Center, Sibley Nature Center and COM Aquatics Center.  


Check out the Midland RockHounds, a Texas League minor league baseball team, the West Texas United Sockers soccer team, West Texas Drillers football team, Odessa Jackalopes hockey team, or the new West Texas Pride football team. You can also enjoy numerous parks, golf courses and driving ranges, and the beautiful, 35 tennis court facility at Bush Tennis Center.  


Looking to travel for the weekend? Midland has its own International Air & Space Port (MAF) offering direct flights to Dallas, Houston, Denver, and Las Vegas. Local one-day and weekend destinations include Lincoln National Forest, Monahans Sandhills State Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, McDonald Observatory, Fort Davis, Marfa Lights, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Big Bend National Park, and the Presidential Museum.
