One New COVID-19 Related Death and 88 New Cases of COVID-19 in Midland

Today, Midland County, the City of Midland and Midland Health confirmed Midland County's 37th COVID-19 related death.
The 37th patient, a male in his 90s, was being cared for at Manor Park Assisted Living. The patient passed away on July 27, 2020.
The City of Midland Health Department is currently conducting their investigation on 88 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Midland County for July 28, 2020, bringing the overall case count to 1989. There are 704 isolated cases, 1113 recovered, 44 under investigation, 91 unable to locate/refused and 37 COVID-19 related deaths in Midland County.
The City of Midland Health Department will continue to monitor the individuals in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Texas Department of State Health Services is requiring local Health Departments to switch to a new software for reporting case numbers. Due to this transition in software, updating the numbers on our full chart will be delayed. Once we get through this transition period, the numbers will be updated as soon as possible.
