Two New COVID-19 Related Deaths

Today, Midland County, the City of Midland and Midland Health confirmed Midland County's 186th and 187th COVID-19 related death.
The 186th patient, a male in his 60s with underlying health conditions, was being treated at Midland Memorial Hospital.
The patient passed away on January 2, 2021. The 187th patient, a female in her 80s with underlying health conditions, was at home. The patient passed away on January 2, 2021.
The Midland Health Department received 120 unconfirmed positive cases on 12/30(W), 77 unconfirmed positive cases on 12/31(TH), 6 unconfirmed positive cases on 1/1(F), 69 unconfirmed positive cases on 1/2(SA) and 100 unconfirmed positive cases on 1/3(SU). This count is reflective of the number of positive test results received from testing locations. The patients have been notified by the testing location of the results, however, the patients have not been contacted by the Midland Health Department yet to confirm residency, gather their close contacts, or to advise them on guidelines. The information is being released to the public in an effort to provide citizens more insight into how the virus is affecting our community on a daily basis.
