One New Case of COVID-19 Confirmed in Midland County

The City of Midland Health Department is currently conducting their investigation on one new confirmed case of COVID-19 in Midland County, bringing the overall case count to 42.

The 42nd confirmed case is a female in her 30s who was tested by Midland Health. The female is self-isolating at home. The female is a staff member at Midland Medical Lodge and has not worked since April 10, 2020. The source of exposure is contact to known case.

Midland Medical Lodge tested all residents in their isolation wing on April 14, 2020. All other residents and 30 staff members were tested today, April 17, 2020. Onsite testing was facilitated by Midland Health. The staff members that were not tested onsite today will be sent to the Midland Memorial drive-thru for testing.

The City of Midland Health Department will continue to monitor the individual in accordance with the CDC.
